Everything you never wanted to know ♥
I'm Emily, I'm seventeen years old and I'm from the United Kingdom. I still can't work out why everyone gets so excited when they find out I'm English, it's really not that exciting here [As this is usually the first thing people ask - no, I don't live in London (although I have visited London): I was born in Worcester but I live near Cardiff now.] I like meeting people from all over the world and learning about different cultures. I am lucky enough to already know people from all over the world but I always like talking to new people online. It's never bothered me about where people are from, how old they are or anything like that. In fact some of my best-online-friends are completely the opposite of me, so don't be afraid to say hello :)
I am that 'lyrics-girl' from YouTube. I can't help smiling when people say they recognise me from YouTube or that they like my videos. I only make my videos for fun so it still amazes me today that people have bothered to subscribe. If anyone reading this wants help with their videos I'm more than happy to help you out, just send me a message and I'll reply as soon as I can ❄
I love Taylor Swift (I bet you never guessed that!). So much so that I collect different versions of her CDs, and if you think that is strange then don't worry because I do as well. It's just like collecting pillow pets.....but with CDs? Anyway, the thing I love most about Taylor is that she is still so lovely even after she became so famous and still makes time for us. She is always thinking of us and never does anything to give herself a bad reputation which I really admire her for.
I was lucky enough to meet Taylor on October 7th 2012 at the BBC Teen Awards. (You can see my story here under 'The Luckiest Day Of My Life' -http://swiftexperiences.tumblr.com/tagged/swiftexperiences) - all I will say is that I never thought I'd even have the chance to write about going to a concert so this really was the highlight of my whole life.
I'm a complete perfectionist. I'm also very socially awkward in real life (which I feel is a good thing). I honestly can't see why people want to go outside when they can stay home and fangirl over something. You really can't go wrong with fangirling! However, on the Internet I love talking to people, especially fellow Swifties. It confuses me as well, don't worry.
I have officially finished my GCSEs with 8A*'s and 5As - yay! Which makes 13 GCSEs - double yay for Taylor! I could leave school this year but I'm staying onto Sixth Form (I'm taking Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Maths). And, if it isn't obvious, I'm a much more science-y person. Although I spend most of my life looking at lyrics and I'm a huge fan of Taylor, I hate English and the arty subjects because I have no patience. Although at primary school I loved English so much I wanted to be an English teacher. I'm still not completely sure what I want to do after my A Levels. At the moment I am thinking for something like Microbiology, just because it doesn't require Chemistry (I hate Chemistry). I was thinking of doing medicine for awhile until I realised I really don't do social interaction.
I love reading. It's hard to say if I have a favourite book or not, somedays I love Harry Potter and other days I love the Hunger Games, so it's just best to say I like books! I love children's films, How To Train Your Dragon and the Studio Ghibli films are my favourites. They always have happy endings - I like that :)
I love the little inspirational quotes you find randomly on the Internet, oh and the little smiley faces you can make with your keyboard ^_^
Oh and one last thing I like hugs - because no matter who you are, where you're from, or what you're going through a hug is always appreciated :)
Stay fearless,
